It’s been quite some time since we’ve spoken. Another year is nearing its end and there’s so much to be thankful for and so much that I would like to share with you. As you all might already know, I moved this past July into a beautiful new space, with a larger kitchen, two teaching stations, a dining room, and the sweetest backyard ever! It’s located at 967 Columbus Avenue between 107th & 108th Streets. It’s a dream space come true. At the end of our day, after we’ve cooked and eaten and completed our homework, we spill out into the backyard and have such fun playing into the twilight – without having to leave our premises, what a joy!
This year will be my 8th year teaching my Jr. chefs and I can think of nothing more rewarding. I’m so thankful for the time I spend in the kitchen with all my students. During the summer we whipped up the most delicious dishes from all around the world and spent entire days together learning about other cultures and cooking its foods and I look forward to continuing to do so at all our upcoming holiday camps (see Winter Break Holiday Camp – Dec 23, 24, 26 & 27th, schedule below) and at our holiday themed Saturday Cook N Plays (See our December 21st Winterland Cook & Play below) in the future. Our 2013 Fall Farm-to-Table After-School Chefs Program is almost over. We’ve had a blast and I’m looking forward to doing it all over again for the 2014 Spring semester. Recipes for all our after school chef programs are being compiled into a Chef Toni Recipe Booklet and will be given to students at the end of the semester.
2014 after-school classes start January 6, 2014 and end June 27, 2014. The new year will be full of surprises with new chefs coming on board as well as a few very special guest chef appearances. We’re planning to cook, eat, and play with many healthy wholesome meals and lots more fun all year. Enrollments have begun and are ongoing. This year we will also provide pickup service from your child’s school if you are able to invite five children or more to join. Monday, December 23, 2013 Holiday Camp – is a Chef Toni’s Cooking Adventures’ Winter Spectacular!!! Join us as we celebrate the holiday season together whipping up the yummiest chicken & veggie potpies and sipping snowy-day hot chocolate, one of winter’s sweetest treats! And since it’s the holiday season we’re going to celebrate two ways by baking Dreidel & Christmas holiday pops to gift wrap for loved ones – homemade with love! Travel around the globe and back again and again at CT CA! Each morning students spin our world globe and wherever we land, we’re packing our bags and and heading out on another exciting adventure. What fun! One day we’ll be off to Mexico, the next to Russia and Africa and beyond. Along with learning real culinary techniques and farm to table cooking lessons, junior chefs will learn a world of information about the day’s chosen country, it’s food, art, culture and more!
