Meet The Chef

SONY DSCLoved by her community, students, parents, and important food professionals around NYC, Chef Antoinette Willard, has truly embraced the essence of family, food, art, and culture. This South African-born chef has been in the kitchen for over 20 years, honing her skills and creating a culinary program that is unique and unforgettable. Chef Toni’s passion for healthy food choices and fine cuisine has been praised by The Amsterdam News, New York Voice, and Society Allure. She is a staunch advocate of the farm-to-table movement, and educates the Junior Chefs she works with on the importance of using fresh, local products whenever possible. Chef Toni has catered events for NY/NJ politicians, the South African Embassy, Columbia University Alumni, women’s civic organizations such as the Links, and many luminaries in fashion, music, and sports! In 2008, Chef Toni opened Antoinette’s in New York City’s growing Harlem neighborhood, enabling her to share her passion for healthy foods and her love of farm-to-table cooking with the adoring public.

As a proud mother of four, Chef Toni understands the importance of good nutrition and the role it plays in the growth and development of our children. Over the past several years, Chef Toni has contributed her knowledge and expertise as a cooking specialist for the Westside YMCA, and as a cooking teacher for an after school enrichment club in PS 166 on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Toni’s drive, passion, and dedication to teaching students to be passionate and knowledgeable about their food has led her to open up the only cooking school for children on the Upper West Side of  Manhattan where she teaches children to “cook, eat, and play with love” at Chef Toni’s Cooking Adventures.
